Bloom-Carroll has been on the road for two straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Teays Valley Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Bloom-Carroll beat Amanda-Clearcreek 51-45.
Bloom-Carroll's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Tessa Brooks, who scored 19 points, and Emily Bratton, who scored 18 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Bratton is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 14 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Marissa Wilkinson, who scored six points.
Meanwhile, Teays Valley came tearing into Tuesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They secured a 47-43 W over Amanda-Clearcreek.
Teays Valley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Gabrielle Watkins out in front who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Younkin, who scored ten points.
Bloom-Carroll pushed their record up to 15-4 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Teays Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.
Bloom-Carroll beat Teays Valley 46-37 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Will Bloom-Carroll repeat their success, or does Teays Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
