The Viborg/Hurley Cougars were the 60-44 winner over the Freeman Flyers when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Viborg/Hurley fell 55-47 to Freeman on Friday.
Freeman found their leader in underclassman Rylee Peters, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 10 rebounds. Cami Fransen was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Viborg/Hurley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Freeman, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Viborg/Hurley will be playing in front of their home fans against Bridgewater/Emery at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Freeman will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against McCook Central/Montrose at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th.
