After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Crestwood, Brooklyn was happy to have turned things around  on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Beachwood Bison  a   24-0 shutout. The Hurricanes' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  points they've scored all season.
A big part of Brooklyn's  victory came down to the chemistry between  Mason Vega and his top target  Lyle Taylor. Vega threw for 153 yards and two  TDs on only 11 passes while  Taylor picked up 127 receiving yards and a pair of  touchdowns. Taylor really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 87 yards.

Brooklyn's first  win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Beachwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.
 Coming up, Brooklyn will square off against Independence at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Hurricanes will be up against the Blue Devils' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29  points per  contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Beachwood, they will face off against Trinity at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. The Bison are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on  a  five-game losing streak.
