The biggest upset of the week belonged to Lowell, who took down 750th ranked Lowell, 29-22. Kyle Nelson threw for 114 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 36 yards in the win.
Lincoln moved up to 563 from 625 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Academic. The Mustangs were able to make move up by topping Mission 42-14.
Demetrius Williams was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 154 yards on 23 carries as Lincoln defeated the Cardinals. Tyree Marzetta also contributed to the rushing game with 87 yards on the ground.
Jackson was the best wideout in the league this week as the Lions beat Lowell. Jackson racked up four receptions for 55 yards. Ronzel Fox helped Galileo's passing attack out by catching one ball for 31 yards.
Galileo's Nelson and Fox have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Academic in both passing and receiving yards. Nelson has thrown for 980 yards this season, while Fox, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 14 catches for 253 yards. Phil Ferrigno's team's Williams leads the league in rushing yards with 896.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Danny Chan's team takes on the Mustangs. At the moment, the Cardinals are in third, while Lincoln is in first.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Lowell takes on the Mustangs. The Cardinals have allowed 178 points this season, while Lincoln has given up 115. Lowell allowed 29 points last week as it fell to Mark Huynh's team.
The Mustangs extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Bears, 42-14. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
