The Garinger Wildcats suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Saturday. They were outmatched by South Pointe on the road and fell 72-16. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Garinger has scored all season.
It was another big night for Victoria Morris, who scored 21 points along with two steals for South Pointe. Morris is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last 11 games she's played. Kaleigh Lucas was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with four steals.
Garinger's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for South Pointe, the victory was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-2.
Garinger will head out on the road to square off against Providence at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (Providence is ranked 172nd, while Garinger is ranked 189th). As for South Pointe, they will be playing at home against York at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
