The Sutter Huskies won the last time they faced the Wheatland Pirates, and things went their way  on Friday too. Sutter enjoyed a cozy  23-8 victory over Wheatland. Given Sutter's advantage  in MaxPreps' California football rankings  (they are ranked 169th, while Wheatland is ranked 515th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Among those leading the charge was   Marcus Meras, who rushed for 143 yards and  a touchdown while picking up 7.2 yards per carry.
 Sutter's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. Leading the way was  Auckland Asiata and his three sacks.
 Sutter's victory was  their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-2. As for Wheatland, they are  on a six-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-7.
 Sutter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Wheatland also has no future games currently scheduled.
