The Mt. Healthy Fighting Owls's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Harrison Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th.
Mt. Healthy suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 61-25 loss at the hands of Middletown. While losing is never fun, Mt. Healthy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 680th, while Middletown is ranked 51st).
Even though Harrison has not done well against East Central recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Harrison managed a 52-48 win over East Central.
Among those leading the charge was Donovan Mckain, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Luke Rogers was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds.
Mt. Healthy bumped their record down to 2-12 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Harrison, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.
Mt. Healthy couldn't quite finish off Harrison when the teams last played back in December of 2023 and fell 56-53. Can Mt. Healthy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
