With a playoff win on the line, Cascade rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Speedway Sparkplugs. The Cadets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by six runs or more this season.
Lacie Godby made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.
In other batting news, Macey Pugh and Ava Allen did most of the damage at the plate: Pugh got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and one run, while Allen went 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
