It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but St. Mary ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They skirted past the Glenelg Country Dragons 3-2. The Saints haven't had any issues with the Dragons recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

St. Mary's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Glenelg Country, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

Coming up, St. Mary's will square off against Indian Creek at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Mary's is facing Indian Creek at the right time seeing as Indian Creek is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
