Even though the River Ridge Hawks have not done well against the Capital Cougars recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. River Ridge took down the Cougars 68-51. The win was familiar territory for River Ridge who now have four in a row.
River Ridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ethan Thomas, who scored 18 points along with two steals and two blocks. It was the first time this season that Thomas posted two or more blocks. Dominique Harper was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds.
The win got River Ridge back to even at 9-9. As for Capital, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-14.
River Ridge will head out on the road to face off against the Tornados at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Capital, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Central Kitsap is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
