Banks will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Marist at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps state rankings project a close matchup.
Banks made easy work of Sweet Home last Friday and carried off a 44-21 win. Senior Hayden Vandehey, who accumulated 255 passing yards and picked up 84 yards on the ground, was a major factor in Banks's success.
Meanwhile, Marist came up short against Seaside, falling 22-33.
Banks's victory lifted them to 1-1 while Marist's defeat dropped them down to 1-1. The Banks defense got after the quarterback against Sweet Home to the tune of 6.0 sacks, so Marist's offensive line better have put in some good practice this past week in preparation for the contest.
