After both having extra time off, the Lake Worth Christian Defenders and the Forest Hill Falcons will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 12:00 p.m. on December 27th. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around on Wednesday.
Lake Worth Christian pushed their score all the way to 68 last Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 88-68 walloping at the hands of Grandview Prep. Despite running the score up even higher than they did two weeks ago (64), Lake Worth Christian still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Forest Hill managed to keep up with Inlet Grove until halftime last Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Forest Hill's rough 65-43 defeat to Inlet Grove might stick with them for a while. Forest Hill's loss continues a unfortunate trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
This is the second loss in a row for Lake Worth Christian and nudges their season record down to 6-3. As for Forest Hill, they bumped their record down to 4-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Lake Worth Christian beat Forest Hill 72-60 in their previous meeting back in January of 2016. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Forest Hill's Jadon Randell, who scored 23 points along with nine rebounds. Now that he won't be playing on Wednesday, will it be that much easier for Lake Worth Christian to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
