The North Fort Myers Red Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 65-33 loss at the hands of Lehigh. North Fort Myers has struggled against Lehigh recently, as their matchup on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, North Fort Myers saw an underclassman step up: Isaiah Newson scored 13 points. The match was Newson's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Answorth Harris was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
North Fort Myers' loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-6. As for Lehigh, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.
North Fort Myers will be home for the holidays to greet Estero at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Estero focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Saturday. Lehigh won't have much time to rest: their next game is against First Baptist Academy at 1:40 p.m. on December 16th. First Baptist Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
