Softball Recap: Post Falls Has No Trouble Against Bonners Ferry

Post Falls won the last time they faced Bonners Ferry and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Trojans were the clear victors by a 15-1 margin over the Badgers. That 14 run margin sets a new team best for the Trojans this season.

The team relied heavily on Sienna Williams, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Summer Dan was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Post Falls always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Post Falls is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Bonners Ferry, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Post Falls will head out to challenge Sandpoint at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.27 runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Bonners Ferry, they will head out on the road to square off against Timberlake at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Badgers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season.
