Charles City (Va.) had a comfortable lead entering the fourth quarter, but used six fourth quarter points to seal the 38-14 victory over
Windsor (Va.).
After taking the lead on a rushing touchdown in the first quarter, the Panthers led 14-7 at the half.
Charles City expanded its lead to 18 points entering the fourth quarter. CC scored three times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by
Tesean Greene.
The Panthers' standout player in the win was
Jovan Howard. The senior wide receiver threw one touchdown and ran for one touchdown. He has now scored eight touchdowns on the season.
Charles City entered the contest giving up 27.6 points per game this year.
CC got revenge for last year's 36-20 loss to the Dukes with the victory.
With the win the Panthers extended their winning streak to three games.
Windsor (2-5) goes up against Sussex Central in a A Eastern game matchup next week, while Charles City (3-3) locks horns with Franklin also in a A Eastern game.
