Lafayette was sadly handed a defeat on Thursday, but Jenny Dreher did her best to prevent it. Dreher pitched seven innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. The performance also marked the most strikeouts (five) she has had since back in March of 2024.

Dreher and Lafayette will look to defend their home field on Friday against Lake Cormorant at 6:30 p.m. The Commodores got just the result they wanted when they last faced Lake Cormorant thanks in part to Dreher: she tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
