The Show Low Cougars put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against St. Johns by a score of 44-31. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Show Low also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Show Low was led to victory by Raquel Wilson and Mikenzie Kulish. Wilson scored ten points along with six steals, while Kulish scored 16 points along with three steals. That's the first time this season that Kulish scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Aubrie Wilson, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Despite the loss, St. Johns still got an impressive performance from Josie Overson, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
Show Low pushed their record up to 16-0 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for St. Johns, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-4.
Show Low will head out on the road to face off against Chinle at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Johns will be home for the holidays to greet Greyhills Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Greyhills Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
