Marietta was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in AAAAAA Region 4. The Blue Devils defeated Pebblebrook 38-14 earlier in the week.
Hillgrove took down Campbell 38-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Harrison's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Lorenzo Nunez threw for 130 and one touchdown and Drevon Jones had 78 yards receiving. On the ground Nunez chipped in 55 yards. Tayvon Benjamin helped Harrison's passing attack out by catching one ball for 27 yards.
South Cobb's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Stephon Masha has thrown for 909 yards and three touchdowns this season, while Ryan Sumner has 24 catches for 303 yards. Chauncey Ingram leads the league in rushing with 412 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place South Cobb takes on second place North Cobb. Last week, South Cobb, while North Cobb topped the Hoyas.
The Warriors made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 237 from 339. The improvement came about via a 48-14 victory over Harrison last week.
