Bledsoe County and Rhea County are an even 3-3 against one another since March of 2023, but likely not for long. The Golden Eagles haven't had any issues with the Cherokees recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Maysa Hampton was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Hampton was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brook Tallent, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. Reece Brown was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Rhea County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2025.
Rhea County's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Bledsoe County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Bledsoe County has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Rhea County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
