Phillip Burchfield Game Report: @ Brookhaven

On Saturday Phillip Burchfield tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The effort also marked the most strikeouts (three) Burchfield has had over his last seven matchups. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his sixth in a row with less than one earned run. This year, he has an ERA of 1.50 over 4.7 innings pitched.

Burchfield's strong effort led Clinton over Brookhaven and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Clinton is a perfect 3-0 against Brookhaven going back to February of 2015, a lead they'll look to extend.
