Softball Recap: Woods Cross Comes Up Short

After soaring to 15 runs the game before, Woods Cross was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bonneville Lakers. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Lakers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Audrey Ayala made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played dating back to last season. Tina Tuakiapimahu was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Woods Cross' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Bonneville, their victory ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woods Cross will host Roy at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bonneville, they will be playing at home against West Field at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
