On Helix's side,  Katelyn Woodland looked comfortable as she  pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off   five  hits. Woodland has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Nikaylah Domingo and  Clarissa Torres did most of the damage at the plate:  Domingo  went 2-for-3 with four  RBI, one  run,  and one  double, while  Torres  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with four  runs and one  RBI. Those  four  RBI gave  Domingo a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Ta'Tiannah Wright, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 Coming up, Grossmont will host San Pasqual  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Helix, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Valhalla  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Highlanders 3.4, the Norsemen 3.8) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
