Baseball Recap: Bourgeois Wins Going Away Against Patterson

Bourgeois barely beat Patterson the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Braves blew past the Lumberjacks 16-6 on Thursday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Braves as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Trinity Neal was a standout: he went a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Blaine Guston was another key player, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

Bourgeois hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Patterson struck out nine times.

Bourgeois' win bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Patterson, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Bourgeois will head out to square off against St. James at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Braves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season. As for Patterson, they will venture away from home to challenge Hanson Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
