The Headland Rams won against the Cottonwood Bears last Friday with 42 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. Headland enjoyed a cozy 42-26 victory over Cottonwood. The score was all tied up 12-12 at the break, but Headland was the (much) better team in the second half.
Jaxon Williams had a dynamite game for Headland, rushing for 212 yards on only 12 carries. CALEB DOZIER did his part to keep the secondary busy, gaining 165 total yards.
Headland is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Cottonwood, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-1.
Headland will head out on the road to face off against Holtville at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. As for Cottonwood, they will be playing at home against Luverne at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th.
