Northern Highlands's Brandon Latierno recorded the longest rushing play in Big North - Colonial this season in his game against Indian Hills last week. Latierno ran for 82 yards on the play and finished with 169 on the day as his team defeated the Braves.
Teaneck scaled the state rankings by moving to 124 from 158 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Highwaymen climbed the ranks as a result of topping Northern Valley Regional 40-24.
Wayne Valley's dynamic duo of Billy Crank and Mark DeLuise proved tough for Wayne Hills to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Crank threw for 128 yards and 2 touchdowns and DeLuise had 59 yards receiving.
The Indians' dynamic duo of Crank and DeLuise proved to be unstoppable against the Patriots, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Kyle Wilczynski made the biggest impact on defense this week as Northern Highlands defeated Indian Hills. The 6-foot-2 senior.
Justin DeGroat was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 165 yards on 25 carries as Wayne Hills fell to Wayne Hills. Justin Hogan also contributed to the rushing game with 50 yards on the ground.
DeGroat was a passing and rushing force as Wayne Demikoff's team topped Brian O'Connor's team. DeGroat's favorite target this week was Nick Falzarano, who caught 3 passes for 20 yards.
Crank put up the best numbers through the air as the Indians fell to the Patriots.
DeLuise was the best wideout in Big North - Colonial this week as Wayne Valley fell to Wayne Hills.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Indians' Crank and DeLuise have proven to be a lethal combination. Crank has thrown for 318 yards this season, while DeLuise, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 9 catches for 109 yards. DeGroat from the Patriots leads the league in rushing with 292 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Paramus takes on Chris Locurto's team. The Spartans are currently in second, while the Highlanders are in fifth.
Northern Highlands took down JOESEPH SABELLA's team 48-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Latierno during the win.
