Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ironwood). They blew past the North Mustangs 20-0 on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Sebastian Rodriguez made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Rodriguez was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. Ironwood is undefeated when Rodriguez posts two or more runs, but 1-12 otherwise.

In other batting news, Ironwood got a massive performance out of Lane Stilwell, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Stilwell a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua McCormick, who went 1-for-2 with five stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Ironwood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .649. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Ironwood's win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-12. As for North, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

Ironwood has already played their next contest, a 13-0 defeat against Sunrise Mountain on the 15th. As for North, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 18-0 loss against Alhambra on the 15th.
