Baseball Recap: Loveland's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Loveland let Blanchester stack four runs on them in the sixth inning on Tuesday but luckily Loveland prevailed anyway. The Tigers came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 8-5. The victory was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won three contests in a row.

Ryan Chevalier looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits.

On the hitting side, Derek Fleming and Blake Carrigan did most of the damage at the plate: Fleming went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Carrigan went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double. CJ Margraf was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Loveland lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Loveland pushed their record up to 14-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Blanchester, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.

Looking ahead, Loveland will take on Milford at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Blanchester, they will challenge Seven Hills at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
