Two dominant  guards in  Gavin Ruberg and  Lawrence Long are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. Having just played yesterday, King's Academy will get right back to it and host Horizon Christian  at 7:45  p.m.  on Friday. King's Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.4  points per game  this season.
On Thursday, King's Academy was just a bucket shy of victory  and fell  45-44 to Calvary Christian. King's Academy has struggled against Calvary Christian recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

 King's Academy might have lost, but man,  Ruberg was a machine:  he  dropped  a double-double on 21  points and 14  rebounds. Ruberg's evening made it four games in a row in which  he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Austin Mikel, who  posted 12 points.
Meanwhile, Horizon Christian took their  game  on Friday with ease, bagging  a  73-45 win over Northpoint HomeSchool.
King's Academy better keep an eye on  Long. He was instrumental in Horizon Christian's win,  almost  dropping  a double-double on 25  points and nine  boards. With that strong performance,  Long is now averaging an impressive 15.3 points per game. Another player making a difference was  Cameron Stump, who  almost  dropped  a double-double on 12  points and nine  rebounds.
 Horizon Christian was working as a unit and  finished the game with 21  assists. That's the most  assists they've posted since back in November of 2023.
 Horizon Christian's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for King's Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest:  King's Academy has been smashing the glass this season,  having  averaged 29.6  boards per game. However, it's not like Horizon Christian struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 33.6  rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
 King's Academy beat Horizon Christian 63-54  in their previous meeting  back in December of 2024. Does  King's Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Horizon Christian turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
