The Jupiter Christian Eagles had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Leonard by a score of 48-36 on Tuesday.
Emilia Edgar was her usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Edgar is absolutely dominating the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Altman, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Despite the loss, Leonard still got an impressive performance from Euterria Davis, who scored 24 points. That was a full 66.7% of Leonard's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Witney Naurelus was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Jupiter Christian's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-4. As for Leonard, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
Jupiter Christian on the road again on Friday and play against Sports Leadership & Management at 11:30 a.m. on January 19th. Sports Leadership & Management will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Leonard won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Pahokee at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th.
