On Tuesday, the Salmen Spartans's game was all tied up 18-18 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 45-33 victory over De La Salle. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Salmen.
Salmen's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Treasure Mccall, who scored 12 points along with seven steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Akayla Mcmooain, who scored eight points along with three blocks.
Salmen's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-15. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points per game. As for De La Salle, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-16.
Salmen will head out on the road to square off against Franklinton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Franklinton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while Salmen is ranked 83rd). As for De La Salle, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Willow at 5:30 p.m. De La Salle is facing Willow at the right time seeing as Willow is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
