The Mullen Broncos were the 51-35 winner over Valentine when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Mullen was the victim of a rough 53-30 loss at the hands of Valentine on Tuesday.
Leading Valentine to victory were Isaac Cronin and Andon Olson. Cronin dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds, while Olson scored 23 points. The matchup was Olson's third in a row with at least ten points. Lex Larsen was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 4 steals.
Mullen's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Valentine, their win bumped their record up to 1-2.
Mullen will head out on the road to face off against Hyannis on Thursday. As for Valentine, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Todd County at 7:30 p.m.
