The Willis Wildkats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Caney Creek 91-30 at home. That 61 points margin sets a new team best for Willis this season.
Willis found their leader in underclassman Sj Young, who scored 31 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jermaine Bishop jr, who scored five points along with ten assists and seven rebounds.
Willis pushed their record up to 19-10 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Caney Creek, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-20 record this season.
Coincidentally, Willis and Caney Creek will both be playing The Woodlands the next time they take the court. Caney Creek will host The Woodlands at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Willis will head out to face them at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
