Washington lost to South Knox back in February of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Washington Hatchets strolled past the South Knox Spartans with points to spare, taking the game 65-46. Given the Hatchets' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 71st, while the Spartans are ranked 243rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Washington has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That somehow still isn't as good as their 16-5 record this season. South Knox's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12.

Washington has already played their next contest, a 55-52 loss against Mt. Vernon on the 22nd. As for South Knox, they are taking a road trip to take on Pike Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Knox is facing Pike Central at the right time seeing as Pike Central is stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
