Hale County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Yasmine Jackson out in front who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Jackson pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Lailah Hill, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Sipsey Valley's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-6. As for Hale County, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 19-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sipsey Valley will take on Paul W. Bryant at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Paul W. Bryant is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak. As for Hale County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northside at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Northside will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 212th, while Hale County is ranked 68th).
