Basketball Recap: Cristo Rey Piles Up the Points Against Bostonia Global

There's no place like home for Cristo Rey, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past the Bostonia Global Lobos 58-25 on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 76-8 back in January.

Cristo Rey got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Xavier Sawaya out in front who went 8 of 19 on his way to 18 points and six steals. Sawaya is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 12 games he's played. Jorge Alcazar was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine steals.

Cristo Rey's win bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Bostonia Global, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-7.

Looking ahead, Cristo Rey will head out to face off against San Diego Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. San Diego Academy will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Cristo Rey surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bostonia Global, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against School for Entrepreneurship & Technology at 4:30 p.m. School for Entrepreneurship & Technology has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
