Paxton waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 45-39 W against the Sandhills/Thedford Knights.

Paxton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jordan Clouse led the charge by putting up nine points and three steals. Clouse is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games she's played. Jaleigh Hansen was another key player, posting ten points and three steals.

Paxton's win bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Sandhills/Thedford, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season.

Coming up, Paxton and Mullen will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday without much rest, having both just played. Mullen is on a nine-game streak of home wins, Paxton a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Sandhills/Thedford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
