The Open Door Christian Patriots will square off against the Lake Center Christian Tiger at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Open Door Christian is coming into the  matchup hot, having won their last eight games.
On Thursday, Open Door Christian got the win against Max S. Hayes  by a conclusive  3-0.
 The  3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Open Door Christian was: they took every set by at least 19 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-3,  25-6.

 Ellie Pruitt and  Briella Bendik were among the main playmakers for Open Door Christian as the former  had nine  assists and seven  aces and the latter  had 11  assists and four  aces. That's the most assists  Bendik has posted  over her last six  contests.
 They weren't the only good servers: Open Door Christian  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with 25  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least seven  aces in 27 consecutive  matches  dating back to last season.
Meanwhile,  after a string of three wins, Lake Center Christian's good fortune finally ran out  on Tuesday. They came up short against  Mogadore, falling  3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  defeat the Tiger have suffered  since September 15th.
 The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-21,  25-20.
 Open Door Christian will have to contain  Kamden Maninga as she made an impact in Lake Center Christian's last game. She  had 17  digs and one  assist.
 Open Door Christian's win bumped their record up to 17-4. As for Lake Center Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of  Saturday's  matchup:  Open Door Christian hasn't let much over the net this season,  having  averaged 4.3  blocks per game. It's a different story for Lake Center Christian, though, as  they've been averaging  an even more impressive 1.1  blocks. Given Open Door Christian's sizable advantage in that area, the Tiger will need to find a way to close that gap.
 Open Door Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Lake Center Christian when the teams last played  back in October of 2024, sneaking past  3-2. Do  the Patriots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tiger turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
