The Presidio Blue Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost to Alpine at home by a decisive 50-35 margin. Presidio has struggled against Alpine recently, as their game on Wednesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Alpine found their leader in underclassman Karolina Castillo, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Castillo has scored at least 25% of Alpine's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nadia Morris, who scored seven points along with three steals.
Presidio's loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-2. As for Alpine, their win bumped their record up to 3-9.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Compass Academy the next time they take the court. Alpine will host Compass Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Presidio will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
