Heide Trask is a perfect 10-0 against Pender since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Titans will welcome the Patriots at 6:30 p.m. Heide Trask is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.
Heide Trask not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 31st (when they won 16-1). They blew past Spring Creek 12-1. The victory continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Gators: they've now won three in a row.
Chance Kibbey made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He is becoming a predictor of Heide Trask's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 5-2 (and 3-9 when he doesn't). Kibbey was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Heide Trask let Kasem Scarlett and Tristan Brewington run wild. Scarlett went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Brewington went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and three runs. Brewington has become a key player for Heide Trask: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-10 otherwise. Gabe Vanvliet-Strickland was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Pender was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 14-2 to East Duplin.
Pender saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Tant, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Heide Trask's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Pender, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-17.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Heide Trask has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Pender struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Heide Trask came out on top in a nail-biter against Pender when the teams last played back in May of 2025, sneaking past 7-6. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
