It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Kansas Comets had no problem doing just that on Friday. They secured a 28-24 W over Pawhuska. The win made it back-to-back wins for Kansas.
Pawhuska's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Lane Kyler, who picked up 138 receiving yards and a touchdown. Canyon Hindman was another key contributor, throwing for 234 yards and two touchdowns.
Kansas has yet to lose a match on the road this season, leaving them with a 10-2 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.5 points per game. As for Pawhuska, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.
Kansas will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Idabel at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Idabel is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Pawhuska does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
