The Broome Centurions will be playing at home against the Seneca Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Broome's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last seven matches.
Broome pushed their score all the way to 35 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Chapman by a score of 38-35.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jaylen Mcgill, who rushed for 155 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.0 yards per carry. Mcgill hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Kamajay Brackett-Brannon, who rushed for 112 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries.
Meanwhile, Seneca put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They breezed by West-Oak on the road to the tune of 47-6. The win was some much needed relief for Seneca as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Seneca got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Gavin Thoma out in front who threw for 222 yards and four touchdowns. Kamari Hudson was another key contributor, picking up 72 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Chapman's win bumped their season record to 9-1 while Broome's defeat dropped theirs to 8-2.
