This season hasn't been kind to the Mart Panthers, who are still winless after their fourth contest. 2024 welcomed they with a 58-38 loss courtesy of Dawson on Tuesday. Mart has not had much luck with Dawson recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dawson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hastin Easley, who scored 21 points. The match was Easley's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Allen, who scored 15 points.
Mart's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Dawson, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-6.
Mart will be playing in front of their home fans against Axtell at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Axtell is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Dawson, they will head out on the road to face off against Riesel at 2:15 p.m. on Friday. Riesel will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
