The Brandeis Broncos pushed their score all the way to 65 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Churchill by a score of 68-65. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Brandeis has suffered against the Chargers since December 29, 2021.
Brandeis lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Lincoln Philyaw, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Sean Tisdall was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Brandeis and nudges their season record down to 13-15. As for Churchill, they pushed their record up to 13-15 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Brandeis will take on the Rough Riders at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Hopefully SA Roosevelt focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 last Saturday. As for Churchill, they will be playing at home against the Cougars at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Clark focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Saturday.
