After soaring to 60 points the game before, the Western Warriors were a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Brown, falling 61-17. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Western has scored all season.
Western's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-14. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.5 points per game. As for Brown, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Western will take on the Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Butler presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Warriors in Kentucky (the Bears are ranked 19th, while the Warriors are ranked 262nd). As for Brown, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st. Kentucky Country Day is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
