Even though the St. Paul Knights scored an imposing 59 points on Friday, the Burncoat Patriots still came out on top. Burncoat took their contest against St. Paul 71-59. That's another feather in the cap for Burncoat, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Burncoat to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jean Carlos Pimental, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Mwangi, who scored 15 points.
Burncoat's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for St. Paul, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Burncoat's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Blackstone-Millville at 6:30 p.m. on February 12th. Blackstone-Millville is coming into the match with six straight defeats on the road, meaning Burncoat will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory. As for St. Paul, they will take on St. John's at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
