Softball Recap: South Plantation Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for South Plantation, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They skirted past the Archbishop McCarthy Mavericks 8-7. The Paladins have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mavericks on Tuesday, too.

Amelia Rodriguez was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one home run. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Samantha O'Steen, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

South Plantation was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .350 or higher in six consecutive games.

South Plantation's record is now 4-10. As for Archbishop McCarthy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.

South Plantation will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against South Broward at 3:45 p.m. on April 4. As for Archbishop McCarthy, they have already played their next match, a 9-7 win against Pembroke Pines Charter on the 20th.
