Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Jon Anaya, who went 7 of 11 en route to 16 points and six boards. He has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Jared Dudek was another key player, putting up seven points and 13 rebounds.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for North Metro, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in November of 2024. They enjoyed a cozy 59-43 victory over SWCHA S on January 3rd.
First Baptist now has a losing record at 8-9. As for North Metro, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
