Ferguson hasn't had much luck against Palmetto recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Ferguson Falcons will challenge the Palmetto Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Ferguson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.3 runs per game this season.
On Monday, everything went Ferguson's way against Miami Beach as Ferguson made off with a 13-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won six matchups by 11 runs or more so far this season.
Lily Berardinelli spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on three hits. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in February.

At the plate, Ferguson let Briana Canahuate and Amaya Santamaria run wild. Canahuate scored four runs and stole Six bases. while going 2-for-4, while Santamaria scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-3. With that strong performance, Canahuate is now averaging an impressive 2.1 runs per game. Andreaneliz Rivera also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Ferguson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Palmetto was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to Westminster Christian.
Palmetto saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alicia Thomason, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Another was Madeleine Baldwin, who scored a run and stole Two bases.
Palmetto's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Ferguson, their record is now 7-5.
Palmetto's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Ferguson has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.3 hits per game. It's a different story for Palmetto, though, as they've been averaging 11 hits. Given Ferguson's sizable advantage in that area, Palmetto will need to find a way to close that gap.
Ferguson couldn't quite get it done against Palmetto in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 as they fell 10-7. Can Ferguson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
