Even though the Sissonville Indians have not done well against the Poca The Dots recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Sissonville managed a 51-47 win over the The Dots. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Sissonville.
Sissonville's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Max Moore, who scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Dylan Casto, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Sissonville pushed their record up to 9-6 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Poca, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sissonville will take on the Minutemen at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in West Virginia (Lewis County is ranked 26th, while the Indians are ranked 40th). As for Poca, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Bison at 7:00 p.m. Buffalo has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
