After a string of three wins, the Carbon Hill Bulldogs's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. Their rough 60-34 loss to Cordova might stick with them for a while. Carbon Hill has struggled against the Blue Devils recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Cordova's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ali Simon, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds. Simon is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down ten or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Shyla Armstead, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Carbon Hill's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-13. As for Cordova, they pushed their record up to 18-6 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Dora the next time they take the court. Cordova will host Dora at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Carbon Hill will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
